Community Emergency Response Team

The Ford County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program provides two tiers of training. The first tier is CERT Basic Training which is a public education program designed to empower community members with no continued volunteer commitment. Our second tier is the Advanced Team which will be/is an organized volunteer team with regular trainings, meetings. The Advanced team of volunteers will be trained to fill specific roles during disaster response and/or recovery. They will also support our First Responders in various ways in between disasters.  Both tiers are designed to educate community members in emergency preparedness and basic response techniques enabling them to take a more active role in personal and public safety.
