ELIZA KASSEBAUM

Eliza Kassebaum is the Chief Deputy Ford County Attorney and has served with the office since September 2020. Ms Kassebaum represents the State of Kansas in Child in Need of Care (CINC) proceedings, Care and Treatment (CT) hearings, and Juvenile Offender (JO) hearings. She also prosecutes adult felony and misdemeanor cases and represents local law enforcement agencies in civil asset forfeiture proceedings.

Before joining the Ford County Attorney's Office, Ms. Kassebaum interned with the Franklin County Attorney's Office. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the University of Kansas School of Law.

Ms. Kassebaum believes that prosecutors should be fair and see justice in every aspect of their job. As a prosecutor, she enjoys the opportunity to create a positive impact for the Ford County Community.


KATHLEEN NEFF

Kathleen Neff is a Deputy County Attorney for the Ford County Attorney's Office and previously served as its Chief Deputy. She joined the office in 2013 and has prosecuted child sex crime, drug distribution, and property crime cases. She has also previously represented the State of Kansas in Child in Need of Care (CINC) and Juvenile Offender (JO) cases. In her current assignment, she primarily prosecutes drug and drug distribution crimes.

Ms. Neff received her bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and graduated cum laude from Washburn University School of Law. 

Ms. Neff enjoys practicing law before judges and juries, and her work with the Ford County Attorney's Office affords her plenty of opportunities to do so.

EREK P. LOOSLI

Erek Park Loosli joined the Ford County Attorney's Office in March 2024 and currently serves as an assistant county attorney. In this role, Mr. Loosli prosecutes adult misdemeanor and felony cases involving drug, property, and traffic crimes.

Mr. Loosli attended Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Logic. He thereafter attended Georgetown University Law Center as a Dailey Scholar and J. Blower Memorial Scholar. In law school, Mr. Loosli served on the Georgetown Public Policy Review and the Barristers' Council Executive Board and was Vice President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He also competed as part of the school's mock trial competition team, was on the pro bono  honor roll, and served as the head teaching assistant for Econometrics with the Georgetown Public Policy Institute. 

Prior to commencing his employment with the Ford County Attorney's Office, Mr. Loosli worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. 

As a prosecutor, Mr. Loosli strives to find resolution to cases that protect defendants' criminal rights while earning the trust and support of law enforcement and the public.
